Sam Day
| Sam Day gave up a high-powered career in recruitment to become a full time mum. As her children got older she signed up with ACR in the hope of finding some part time work to fit around school hours. "The consultants at ACR really understood the pressures on me as a mum returning to work but they also understood the skills I had from my previous career," said Sam. "I was slightly worried they wouldn't be able to find me a position because I didn't want to work school holidays but they came up with an ideal administration job - in a school - really quickly." When Sam's contract ended she took the Christmas holidays off to spend with her three children and was then offered a similar role at a different school, again through ACR. Eventually she secured a permanent job share PA role at the new Thomas Deacon Academy in Peterborough. "Everything fell into place so easily thanks to the help I got from the staff at ACR," said Sam. "They fulfilled my requirements brilliantly and made getting a foot back in the work place very easy. "It's easy to dismiss the idea of work thinking the hours won't suit or holidays will cause all kinds of child care issues. But the staff at ACR really took all those issues on board and helped me find positions which suited me perfectly." |
