Working for a boutique real estate investment firm managing a property portfolio of £5 million, currently expanding to £15 m, you will be the second appointment to this ambitious and growing organisation. Working closely with the MD you will undertake a dual role supporting in two very distinct areas within the business. You will be supporting the MD in delivering pertinent analysis and insight into the real estate outlook for East Midlands, and the UK as a whole, and report on asset performance, financial forecasting, cash flow, competitor performance and many other metrics. Clearly you will be highly numerate and highly proficient in the use of Excel and basic financial modelling tools. You will be informed on current affairs and be encouraged to report weekly on any issue, political or economic, that might impact the business.
The second part will be to support in Property Management - this will involve travel to their many properties to meet prospective tenants, show them round and support in selecting tenants. You will be closely shadowing the MD during induction and beyond to learn this key part of the role. This means you will need to have a full driving licence and access to a vehicle at all times - fuel costs will be covered. It is essential that you engage easily and quickly with all potential tenants.
In return you will earn a generous salary and qualify for a profit and performance related bonus. You will be expected to complete your investment management certificate (IMC) course during your first six months of employment. This will be paid for by the business. This is an exceptional role - you need to be proactive, think on your feet, have common sense, work logically and be able to perform under pressure and at pace. The role will suit a graduate in a business discipline such as Economics, Business Management, or Business Studies
