A charity that supplies out-of-work women with interview appropriate clothing has received a significant boost from Peterborough agency, Anne Corder Recruitment.
Smart Works is a London based organisation which not only provides women with professional work wear, but also offers training in interview technique and general confidence building.
To pledge their support to the Smart Works campaign, the team at ACR hosted a suit drive at their Lynch Wood offices, encouraging colleagues and clients alike to donate any unwanted, work suitable clothing and accessories to the cause.
In just five days, over 150 items were collected including suit jackets, shirts, trousers, skirts, handbags and shoes – all of which can now be used to help somebody succeed at their job interview.
Recruitment partner Karen Dykes said, “The support from local businesses has been extraordinary this year and we’re delighted to have donated so many high quality items to Smart Works. It really is such a worthwhile cause that we’re glad to help spread the word here in Peterborough.”
