Earlier this year, we were delighted to have sponsored the ever-popular Ladies Lunch in support of the Breast Care Unit at Peterborough City Hospital. We’re even more excited to say the event raised a record £17,100 for the very-worthy cause!
Anne, owner of Anne Corder Recruitment, joined organiser Carol Collier and other sponsors, including Buckles Solicitors LLP, Premier Kitchens & Bedrooms, Holiday Inn Peterborough West, The Larkfleet Group, The BGL Group and Ultimate Performance Lifestyle, to present a cheque to the hospital unit.
The Ladies Lunch was a huge success, seeing over 300 businesswomen from the Peterborough area tucking into a fundraising lunch in aid of breast cancer care. Held at Holiday Inn West the lunch welcomed guest speaker Brendan Cole, formerly from Strictly Come Dancing; music from Nicole Lawrence and a talk from Clare Hall, who works in the Breast Care Unit, and was hosted by FM breakfast show presenter Kev Lawrence.
Now in its fourth year, the sell-out lunch was the most successful to date with the total across all the annual lunches now almost £50,000.
Money raised with help provide specialist equipment for the Breast Care Unit at Peterborough City Hospital, currently not available within NHS budgets. The event was again organised by former breast cancer patient Carol Collier, as a way of thanking all those involved with during her care journey.
