ACR’s ethical approach praised by the Recruitment and Employment Confederation

Last month we were delighted to welcome four representatives from the Recruitment and Employment Confederation to our Lynch Wood offices.

The visit on Tuesday 19 June was part of the confederation’s Members Week initiative, in which the REC annually selects a handful of members to visit. Anne Corder Recruitment was the only recruiter in the local area selected this year.

A highlight for us all was the leading UK membership body’s praise for our ethical approach to recruitment.

Lorraine Laryea, a solicitor at the REC, enjoyed understanding more about Anne Corder Recruitment’s non-commission based model:

“Learning more about an agency that doesn’t work on commission was particularly interesting. The REC represents recruiters in all sectors, and with many different business models, but working without commission is very different – and it clearly puts an onus on relationship building. The model clearly works for Anne Corder Recruitment.”

Joe Canty, business development manager at the REC, explained: “The overarching aim of our visits is to help us learn how, together, we can make the UK’s recruitment industry the best in the world and we know that jobs transform lives.”

Having been members of the REC since 1996, Anne Corder, added: “We are dedicated to being at the forefront of recruitment and the REC’s visit provided the opportunity for us to knowledge share directly with the UK’s leading recruitment body.”
