Roxie Bibby: Three days to land the perfect job
Three working days after officially registering with Anne Corder Recruitment, Roxie Bibby was offered her perfect job. Two days later she relocated, and another four days on she was behind her new desk.
“It all happened so fast, I couldn’t believe how well things worked out,” said Roxie. Originally from Halifax in Yorkshire, Roxie was keen to move to the Peterborough area to be with her long-term boyfriend.
“I started job searching online and realised several of the roles I was interested in were advertised with Anne Corder Recruitment,” said Roxie, who previously worked as a contract manager.
“I was impressed with the website, the calibre of jobs they had, and their promises, so I registered with them.”
Roxie was interviewed.
“Everything was made very easy,” said Roxie. “All the information was emailed and the forms I needed to complete were available – securely – online.”
At her interview, three possible jobs that suited her skill set were discussed.
“The description of one sounded perfect,” said Roxie. “It was an eight month contract which would give me the opportunity to ensure relocating was the right thing to do, before I made a permanent commitment.”
By the end of the day Roxie had an interview booked in for the Monday.
“I was fully briefed by an ACR recruitment partner and, following the interview, given the opportunity to feedback – and receive feedback,” said Roxie. “I was due to go back to Halifax but they invited me in for a second interview the following day. On Wednesday, I received a job offer.”
The following weekend Roxie moved to her new home in Stamford ready to start her new role as an interim customer services team leader for Silver Spoon the next week. “ACR forwarded all the paperwork very quickly and I received a brief for my first day – and a call wishing me well,” said Roxie.
“Everything has worked out perfectly. When my eight month contract is up I know whose door I’ll be knocking on!”
